MATH... my life.. our life...
When people talk of Mathematics believes in four rules, but are much more math and its history is confused with that of philosophy. Thus we see the gap between mathematics and society. Note that non-Euclidean geometries have allowed new ideas about the universe and logic have allowed to reveal the limitations of the deductive method. There is Math in Art.
Math is used in everyday life to understand and analyze the information that comes to each person. In any branch of knowledge used mathematical models (not just physically, but thanks to computers apply to all matters, are the basis in meteorology, space flight, engineering, genetics, ...
Math is a pure science, a mathematical problem is a challenge for intelligence, its language is universal and fosters communication and collaboration between countries and improving coexistence and promotes peace.
Mathematics is logic, precision, rigor, abstraction, formalization and beauty, and it is hoped that through these qualities are achieved the ability to discern the essential from the accessory, an appreciation for the work intellectually beautiful and assessment of potential science. All subjects must contribute to the cultivation and development of intelligence, feelings and personality, but math is for a prominent role in the formation of intelligence because, as Aristotle said, young people can become highly skilled mathematicians, but can not be wise in other sciences.
